12 Months of Progress

It's been a busy year for RIA. Our staff and volunteers have worked on a wide variety of projects to bring value to the dues that members pay and to improve the restoration industry for all who work in and support it. Staff members traveled to approximately 20 industry shows and meetings to promote RIA and its members in front of audiences ranging from insurance adjusters and suppliers to local and federal government officials. RIA introduced its first ANSI standard for determining whether or not fire particu- late has impacted an HVAC system. We've expanded the benefits we provide our members. We offered free access to the Xactware Property report, introduced an online Water Loss Technician course and partnered with ILS Corporation to provide 50 different online training courses. We also continued efforts to update the Certified Restorer program, educated members on roofing legislation that will have far-reaching consequences for companies that will not comply and provided a host of unique learning opportunities, including the most recent Strictly Contents event in New York.
