This article raised concern about errors which M. Marzke discussed directly with E. Pouydebat. Following our discussion we agreed to publish the following joint letter to the editor, which points out the errors and also addresses confusion about definitions of precision and power grips in the literature that may have contributed to the errors. It is hoped that our letter will encourage authors working in a diversity of fields to be specific about grip types they study and report in the future.
