Authors' response to 'comments on 'measurement of the microstructural fracture toughness of cortical bone using indentation fracture''

A recently published Letter to the Editor by Kruzic and Ritchie (2008) raised some concerns regarding the method of measuring microstructural fracture toughness of cortical bone using indentation fracture, relating to work published by Mullins et al. (2007). We, the authors of this Short Communication publication, wish to respond to the concerns raised by Kruzic and Ritchie.
