Times are tough, especially for independent contractors who don't have the large-scale marketing budgets of some national franchise network contractors. It's not like it was 10 years ago. Relationships used to mean more to adjusters and agents. It was easy for a contractor to receive referrals from those with whom they had built relationships over the years.With the excessive legal battles in this country, insurance companies are inching closer and closer to a "no referral" policy of any kind to their policyholders-if they haven't already done so. Restoration and mitigation contractors must find more creative ways to promote their businesses to consumers and build a good brand in their community.
