A lot exists and happens beyond our awareness. Much of it is connected, or related, presumably through the laws of nature. Let's face it: in the case of electrical systems, we'd often just as soon not try to figure out what happens inside that box or cabinet. It's mysterious and intimidating, so we shy away from it. But in fact, the goings on inside an electrical system have many familiar counterparts in daily life. A bucket of water, a rolling bowling ball, and a soap metering valve - each has an electrical equivalent. If you are an electrical novice, take heart; when you've mastered the basic concepts, when those become familiar and comfortable, much of the mystery will disappear.
