Approximation by q-Durrmeyer operators

Very recently Gupta (Appl. Math. Comput. 197(1), 172-178, 2008) intro-duced the q-Durrmeyer operators D_(n,q)fand studied some approximation propertiesof such operators. In the present paper, we extend the studies and here we obtain somelocal and global direct results for the q-Durrmeyer type operators. Furthermore, weestablish a simultaneous approximation theorem for D_(n,q)f,Where f is a polynomial.
