A new Neopanorpa (Mecoptera, Panorpidae) from China with notes on its biology

摘要

A new species of the scorpionfly, Neopanorpa lipingensis, is described and illustrated from the Micangshan Mountains, central China. The immature stages, including egg and larva, were obtained through rearing and illustrated. Its biology and behaviourare also briefly reported. The scorpionfly genus Neopanorpa Weele, 1909 belongs to the most speciose family Panorpidae in Mecoptera.
