摘要

Mothbean is one of the most important drought tolerant kharif pulse crop grown on light textured soils of arid and semi-arid regions of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The average yield of mothbean is very low mainly due to lack of suitable agro-techniques for its cultivation under arid conditions. Uppal and Banerji (1) observed growth regulating effects of substituted thioureas. Thiourea application is reported to be an effective treatment for improving plant growth and development (2). Improvement in plant growth and development due to application of thiourea has been reported in some crops grown in semi-arid regions (3).
