摘要

A low-cobalt ML(NiCoMnAlSnSi)_5 alloy wasprepared by a gas atomization processing. The dischargecapacity of the atomized powder was around 150 mAh/g whichcould be increased to about 200 mAh/g after heat treated at 850deg C for 6 h. A good activation performance was observed forthe atomized powder particularly when the particle size wassmall. The small particle size and the presence of minor phaseswere responsible for the quick activation. The rate capability ofthe atomized powder was also improved by heat treatment.
