L.A.Officials Shut off Tap Water At More Than 600 Schools

The Los Angeles Unified School District(LAUSD)has shut off water to 2,000 water faucets at 660 schools after discovering lead levels in excess of federal standards.The decision follows a four-month testing program that school officials launched after discovering lead-contaminated water in a fountain at Woodlake elementary school in Woodland Hills.
