摘要

Storage structures used in Nagaland were evaluated against infestation of paddy moth. Results of pooled data of two years (1998-2000) study revealed the lowest incidence of S. cerealella (Olivier) was recorded in Ahning with Tsakvong (1 %, 2.83 %) with moisture content 17.4 % and 16.3 % during 3 and 6 months of storage. The highest infestation was indicated in Gunny bag (2.83 %, 6.17 %) with moisture content 17.4 % and 16.8 % during the same periods. The highest average percent germination was observed in Mer storage (93 %) with moisture content 18.54 % followed by Ahning with Tsakvong (96 %) and Telha ki (89 %) with moisture contents of 17.3 % and 16.5 % respectively at the 3 and 6 months of storage time. Analysis of Co-relation coefficient (r) andLinear regression co-efficient (b) of percent germination with percent infestation of S. cerealella indicated highly negative significance after 6 months of storage.
