Automation of a Spectral System Based on an MDR-23 Monochromator

A solution is proposed for the automatic control of an MDR-23 monochromator based on an Atmega8535 microcontroller. It is also proposed that data acquisition from a photomultiplier be automated using a combination of a Shch300 multimeter and an Atmega8535 microcontroller. The Shch300 multimeter was chosen because it is widely used in scientific organizations in Russia. The interaction of the control system and data acquisition with a personal computer is discussed. All the electronic components of the system are supplied with detailed schematic diagrams and are composed of available electronic components.
