摘要

The structure-activity relationships of 14 drimane sesquiterpenoids isolated from Canella winterana plus 5 derivatives were examined in a plant growth inhibitory bioassay. It was found that the 11,12-dialdehyde was the essential moiety and the 9-hydroxy group was not important for activity. The compound with beta-configuration of the 11-aldehyde or 3-acetoxy group showed greater activity than its alpha-isomer.
