Marine natural products as prototype insecticidal agents.

摘要

In an attempt to characterize additional structural classes that could serve as prototypes for insecticides, 26 structurally diverse compounds derived from various marine organisms were examined for insecticidal activity in a diet overlay assay against newly hatched larvae of Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi and Heliothis virescens. Several new classes of compounds have been identified as having potential as lead compounds for the development of new marine-derived insecticides.
