摘要

In Thailand there are several big industrial locations,one of them is Map-Ta-Phut an important industrial estate situated in the eastern Thailand in the Rayong area.This petrochemical estate contributes to an increase of air pollution levels as a result of concentrated industrial activities.There are many ways to estimate air quality but a widely used method is to apply a mathematical dispersion model.The advantage of this method is its simplicity,low cost and possibility to predict air pollutant concentrations for a large area.In this paper we estimate the distribution pollution concentration in Map-Ta-Phut.A mathematical dispersion model,Industrial Sources Complex Short Term Version 3 (ISCST 3),was used to simulate the SO_2 concentration distribution based on the meteorological data and the emission data of the plant.Results show good performance of the model.The prediction of SO_2 concentration distribution and the model performance was evaluated by comparing the measured and modeled SO_2 concentration.
