摘要

Surface coating of nanoscaled particles is an important area in nanomaterials synthesis.Due to their high surface area,nanoparticles are very attractive for many research disciplines,especially for catalytic applications [Serp,2002].Studies showed that the catalytic active phase-usually noble metals like Pd,Pt or Ru-can reach higher turnover rates when a high dispersion on a suitable supporter like SiO_2,TiO_2 or Al_2O_3 can be achieved [Kohler,1995].Compared with usually used preparation processes in fluid phases or sol/gel processes,an aerosol process generates particles of higher purity,offers excellent process controlling and no additional removing or cleaning steps for the solution chemicals are needed.In literature the metal organic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD)is described as an innovative and successful method to prepare metals or thin films on substrates [Dossi,1994].
