Anthropogenic and biogenic organic aerosol components (OC) are supposed to influence the ability of atmosheric particles to serve as cloud condensatoin nuclei (CCN) (Novakov and Penner, 1993) and thereby transferring organic material into the liquid phase of fog and clouds.
