BBKA Convention 2014

I HAVE just returned from four extremely enjoyable days at the BBKA Spring Convention at Harper Adams University, near Newport, Shropshire.My car was loaded with 'goodies', and before I settled down to a happy few hours making up new frames with Thome's 'special offer' deep frames and Maisemore Apiaries' beautiful foundation (the lovely scent of which we could smell in the car all the way back), and tidying away my other treats -free samples of syrup and candy (British Bee Feeds), a free hive tool (Mann Lake), a new nosema tonic to try, a bag for spinning off cappings honey (when in the past mine has stood for days dripping though a sieve), a new candle mould and some great pollen substitute, two gross of jars at a very good price etc etc - it's like Christmas! I thought I'd try and give those of you who didn't get there an impression of what it's like, so that maybe you'll go too next year.
