摘要

In late June, the AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Persons) , the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), and the US Department of Labor (DOL) convened a summit in Washington, DC, on nursing education capacity, bringing to-gerfier representatives from 18 states to share best practices and develop plans to increase the number of nursing program graduates. The 3 organizations simultaneously released a white paper highlighting successful local strategies for achieving this goal (http://www .championnursing.org/uploads /NursingEducationCapacityWhitePaper 20080618.pdf).
