Efficacy of pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic interventions in psychiatry: To talk or to prescribe: Is that the question?

In the present meta-review,1 psychiatric medications are contrasted with psychotherapy and combination strategies for each psychiatric disorder included in the meta-analysis. In addition to adequately cautioning readers about any indirect comparison of treatment modalities, the authors advance the field by assessing the quality of the meta-analyses and even of the studies that were included in previous meta-analyses.
