摘要

Within the framework of the research project entitled " Development of a portable measuring system on the basis of terahertz (THz) time domain technology for the non-destructive testing of welded and adhesive-bonded joints", the Plastics Centre (SKZ) has, in close cooperation with the "Experimental Semiconductor Physics" working group at the Phillips University in Marburg, developed and tried out a demonstrator for the non-destructive testing of welded and adhesive-bonded plastic products. The higher-level objectives of this research project consisted of developing a robust, quick, fibre-coupled, transportable and cost-favourable measuring system on the basis of terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) for reflection measurements and to evaluate the possibilities and limits of THz-TDS for checking the weld qualities of polymer joints.
