Results of the DGM conference entitled 'Euro Hybrid Materials and Structures'

Will aeroplanes and vehicles tend to be constructed from metals or from fibre-reinforced plastics in the future? "Not only but also", was the answer of the participants in the international conference which was entitled "Euro Hybrid Materials and Structures" and offered an accompanying trade exhibition. On April 10 and 11,2014, more than 100 materials scientists and materials technologists discussed questions about all aspects of hybrid materials and multimaterial design on the Stade Campus of the Gottingen Private University of Applied Sciences (PFH). The organisers of the conference were the German Society for Materials Engineering (DGM) and Inventum GmbH.
