摘要

More recently, a FTIR system equipped with diffuse reflectance sampling interface has been used as a NDT device for the detection and measurement of thermal and UV damage in composites used in aircraft manufacture. This application is expedited by the substantial reduction in size and use-complexity of a new generation of handheld FTIR analyzers. These devices can be used at-site to analyze aircraft or other large composite structures, thus eliminating the requirement of excising a sample to be sent to a lab for analysis.
