Kobe Steel's welding company is expanding offshore business. The firm considering production of flux-cored wire for carbon steel in Europe and US. The Chinese plant will increase output to around 900 tonnes per month by the end of 2005 from current 500 tonnes. The firm expands output capacity of solid welding wire in 2005 to meet firm demand for automobile.
