Nippon Kinzoku Establishes Integrated System for Producing Wide and Large Magnesium Alloy Steel Coils

Nippon Kinzoku announced that it has established an integrated system for producing wide and large coils of magnesium alloy steel jointly with Chuo Kosan and Daido Steel. This is the first system in Japan to manufacture such products through rolling and will make it possible to supply wide and large coils of uniform quality, which has not been attainable with the conventional process of extrusion. The company is planning to ship samples to customers for their evaluation of surface quality and workability so that it may start commercial production in April with an initial sales target of 10 tons per month.
