Nippon Steel Streamlines Iron Ore Transportation from Brazil

Nippon Steel announced on Tuesday it would streamline iron ore transportation from Brazil. The firm agreed with iron ore giant Rio Tinto to share a large bulk carrier starting in late 2005. The firm, on the other hand, will introduce 2 large carriers in 2009 to ship iron ore from Brazil. The firm tries to secure shipping space and improve efficiency to reduce freight cost under less availability of shipping space caused by increasing shipping to China.
