METI Holds Second Meeting of Steel Study Group

摘要

On the 14th September, METI held in the ministry complex the second meeting of the study group on enhancing competitiveness of the steel industry and future outlook, chaired by professor Yoshihiro Adachi of Tokyo University.The main subject for this round of discussion was how to enhance competitiveness of the Japanese steel industry, where a possibility was suggested that Japan could lose an edge over foreign counterparts not only in terms of costs but also in quality.
