According to importers, the outlook for hot coil and heavy plate imports into Japan during the first two quarters of this fiscal year (April to June and July to September) are as follows. The amount of hot coil imports in April is expected to be 168,000 tons, 167,000 tons in May, 158,000 tons in June, for a total of 493,000 tons for April to June, with a monthly average of 164,000 tons. In July, imports are expected to be 168,000 tons, 125,000 tons in August, 160,000 tons in September, for a total of 453,000 tons for July to September with a monthly average of 151,000 tons.
