ACA Participates in OSHA Meeting on Proposed Rule To Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses

On January 8 and 9, the American Coatings Association (ACA) attended an informal public meeting hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor's Oc- cupational Safety and Health Adminis- tration (OSHA) to discuss the agency's proposed rules on workplace injury and illness reporting. Industry rep- resentatives, union representatives, interested members of the public, and OSHA staff members met to discuss the potential benefits and pitfalls of the proposed rule. OSHA had extended the deadline to March 8,2014, for the public to submit written comments.
