Research Roundup: Developments in Coatings Tecyhnology

摘要

Increasingly, liquid coatings are playing an important role in applications outside of the general architec-J tural, industrial/OEM, and special purpose markets typically associated with these materials. Recent reports on university-based coatings research efforts underscore the diversity of not only the potential applications for paints and coatings, but also the chemistries involved. Three recent developments are highlighted here, including coatings for wastewater treatment, flame retardancy, and removability.
