PPG Industries Foundation Donates $65,000 for Girls' STEM Program

The PPG Industries Foundation has donated $65,000 to educational programs that teach girls about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and encourage them to pursue careers in these areas. For the second year, the foundation made this grant to Twin Cities Public Television (tpt) in Minnesota to support national programming of "SciGirls," an Emmy-award-winning PBS television show for 8-to 13-year-olds that showcases girls using science and engineering in their daily lives. PPG has partnered with tpt in having company scientists show teachers how to use resources associated with the "SciGirls" program in their classrooms.
