Oral Arguments Scheduled in Conflict Minerals Case

Oral arguments in the case of National Association of Manufacturers v. SEC are set for May 15, 2013. ACA, along with six other trade associations, filed an amicus brief on January 23 in support of an October 2012 lawsuit filed by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Roundtable (BRT) against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). That suit before the U.S. Court of Appeals (D.C. Circuit) asks that the SEC's Conflict Minerals Rule be set aside.
