Huntsman to Acquire RockwoocTs Performance Additives and Titanium Dioxide Businesses for $1.1 Billion

Huntsman Corporation and Rockwood Holdings, Inc. have entered into an agreement under which Huntsman will acquire Rockwood's Performance Additives and Titanium Dioxide (Ti02) businesses. Huntsman will pay approximately $1.1 billion in cash and assume unfunded pension liabilities, estimated at $225 million. Rockwood's Performance Additives and Ti02 businesses include the manufacture and supply of sulphate process Ti02, synthetic iron-oxide and other organic pigments, timber treatment products, and specialty automotive materials.
