An Introduction to Sustainability

"Sustainability" is a word that gets thrown about a lot these days. When you investigate, you find that the term means different things to different people and different organizations. However, most definitions are related to the ability to maintain, support, endure, or survive. What does sustainability mean for coatings and the coatings industry? An American Coatings Association committee is wrestling with this right now, but I thought that I would give the subject a shot.
