Berger Paints to Acquire Sherwin-Williams Indian Architectural Business Unit

Berger Paints has announced its intent to acquire the architectural operations of Sherwin-Williams Paints India for an undisclosed amount. The purchase, to be executed through Berger's wholly owned subsidiary, Brushworks Paints Ltd., is intended to expand the paint maker's presence in major markets. With a workforce of over 2,500 employees, Berger currently operates seven manufacturing facilities in India and more than 85 depots with four facilities overseas. The Kolkata-based paint manufacturer is currently the second largest paint company in the country by revenues.
