Dow to Close Epoxy Production Facility

Dow Chemical Canada Inc.,a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Co.,Midland,MI,has decided to close its Epoxy Products and Intermediates business production facility in Sarnia,Ontario.The facility supplied customers in North America and Asia Pacific with solid epoxy resins and Derakane~R epoxy vinyl ester resins.Due to changing global market dynamics and the need to consolidate production facilities worldwide,the plant was closed on August 1,2004.Dow's Freeport,TX and Joliet,IL plants will now supply customers in North America.
