At the February meetin gof the British society for Coatings technology,a technical presentation on"New TIN-FREE CATALYSTS FOR SOLVENTBORNE 2K PUR COATINGS"was given by Andreas Steinert,of Borchers GmbH.Dr.Steinert explained some of the reasons that catalysts are needed to assist in the curing of PUR resins,such as to improve mechanical properties,overcome defects,and improve curing speeds.
