OMB Releases Final Rule Adopting Industrial Aspect Of Globally Harmonized System to OSHA

The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on February 21 released the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) final rule that would change the Hazard Communication Standard by adopting the "industrial" aspects of the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). In its notice releasing the final rule, which allows for its publication by OSHA, OMB determined that the final rule is "Consistent with Change."
