DuPont to Expand Titanium Dioxide Capabilities

DuPont has announced that it will enact a comprehensive titanium dioxide expansion plan. The plan will add about 350,000 metric tons of global capacity and strengthen the company's capability to meet increasing demand from its customers. The expansion includes an investment of over $500 million (USD) in new production facilities at the company's Altamira, Mexico site that will provide approximately 200,000 metric tons of new capacity per year. In addition, the company will make investments to improve productivity at its other titanium dioxide sites around the world, including facility upgrades at the company's five titanium dioxide manufacturing sites over the next three years which will yield an additional 150,000 metric tons of capacity.
