SCAQMD Adopts Amendments to AIM Coatings Rule 1113

On June 3, California's South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Governing Board adopted amendments to Rule 1113 for limits on VOC content for Architectural and Industrial Maintenance (AIM) coatings. The Board also directed staff to release compliance guidance on pigmented lacquers (the pigmented lacquers category has been subsumed into the Clear Wood Finishes category), and, in the next three months, to look into expanding the three-year sell-through period from beyond just changes in limits to all rule changes, including category and definition changes.
