GOP Introduces Bill Preventing EPA from Regulating Emissions

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives introduced legislation on March 3 that would permanently stop the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulating emissions blamed for warming the planet. Rep. Fred Upton (D-OH), chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, introduced the bill, called the Energy Tax Prevention Act. Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) introduced a companion bill in the Senate.
