ACA forms paintcare pilot program, a national solution for post-consumer paint management

The American Coatings Association (ACA) established PaintCare Pilot Program as a national solution for post-consumer paint management. The pilot program was formed to pilot an industry-led end-of-life management program for post-consumer paint. This program addressed the need for industry to deal with state and local approaches to the issue of post-consumer paint. It specifically focus on 'Extended Producer Responsibility' approaches being pursued by some state governments. Product Care, an established product stewardship organization agreed to jointly work with the pilot program for post-consumer paint management in the country. The pilot program was also officially incorporated in the state of Delaware on October 21, 2009. It was established as a stewardship organization to implement the architectural paint stewardship pilot program.
