Rohm and Haas to Acquire FINNDISP

Rohm and Haas Company,Philadelphia,PA,has signed an agreement to acquire the FINNDISP division of OY Forcit AB,a Finland-based paint emulsions operation,for approximately EUR 60 million (U.S.85 million).Based in Hanko,Finland,FINNDISP produces water-based emulsions that are used by the manufacturers of paints and coatings,lacquers,and adhesives in Northern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent states (former soviet union).
