The Dry Film Properties group reviewed the draft of a proposed "Ink Stain Blocking Test Method," ASTM Work Item #14688. The group on Application Properties discussed Work Item #13360,"Open Time of Latex Paints," including reviewing results from the recent interlaboratory testing. The latest draft from Work Item #14245, "Evaluating Touch-Up Properties under Various Environmental Conditions," was discussed. Several comments and a negative vote were considered. The negative vote was found persuasive and the changes will be incorporated in the next draft. The Wood Coatings group discussed the results of interlaboratory study ILLS# 0163 for D 4446, "Standard Test Method for Anti-Swelling Effectiveness of Water Repellent Formulations and Differential Swelling of Untreated Wood When Exposed to Liquid Water Environments."
