Actual Conditions and Prevention of Musculoskeletal Dysfunction in Japanese Children from the Orthopedic Viewpoint:An attempt in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan

The term musculoskeletal dysfunction is a condi-tion when one feels that "my joint doesn't work as much" or "my muscles are going weak," which is defined as a condition with functional disability of the musculoskeletal system. Recently in Japan, the issue of musculoskeletal dysfunction in middle-aged and elderly populations is attracting social attention because it is deeply associated with the problems among elderly such as being bedridden and the needs of nursing care.
