Political uncertainty could undermine the ambitious goals of regional airlines to use low-carbon fuels as a means to reduce their carbon emissions. The policy muddle stems from efforts to account for the wider environmental impact of making biofuels from crop-based feedstocks, known as indirect land-use change (Iluc).
