Signs are emerging of a possible second wave of consolidation in Japan's polyvinyl chloride resin industry.Although a series of exits and mergers has already whittled down the more than 10 Japanese producers to only five,domestic demand,which reached 2 mn tons in 1997,has fallen below the 1.4 mn-ton mark.
