US company Invista has started construction of a new plant for nylon 66 airbag fibers in the suburbs of Shanghai,China.The 50 mn plant is scheduled to start operations in 2008.In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony,Kelly Bulloch,senior vice president and chief financial officer of Invista,said,"We will be the first company to commercially produce airbag fibers in China,and we are determined to continue investing in this growing market."
