Idemitsu Kosan is investing about ￥700 mn(5.8 mn)to double production capacity of its lubricants blending plant in Tianjin,China,to 56,000 kL/y.The expansion is expected to be complete July 2008.The move is in light of forecasts that China's demand for high-performance lubricants,especially for auto industry applications,is set to grow at an annual rate of 10%.With the capacity buildup,Idemitsu's total lubricant capacity in China will expand to about 80,000 kL/y.
