Nippon Oil Gaining Ground with New HS-FCC Catalysts

Nippon Oil is making strides in its development of catalysts for use in the high-severity fluid catalytic cracking,or HS-FCC,process that it is working to commercialize.The company developed a catalyst with maximized Y-type zeolite content to restrict the secondary hydrogen transition reaction that generates paraffins,as well as improve reaction efficiency.Y-type zeolite-based catalysts are primarily used in FCC.
